Kuira! I hope this newsletter finds you well! Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support. This past month consisted of a lot of practice for the Christmas program; decorating the classroom and preparing for all the Christmas events coming up. It’s hard to believe Christmas is just around the corner!
In November we had the opportunity to sing at 2 different Old Folks Home. It was beautiful to see how the faces of the elderly lit up as the children shook their hands. I was so proud of our students! These events are not so much about singing as it is about showing the children that there are so many more people out there, with needs that we can meet if we choose to. The elderly are often so lonely and we can change their day by taking the time to visit. I am so thankful for each child God has sent to the school and for understanding parents who allow their children to participate in these events. Please pray that each of these students will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and use their life to serve Him.

Receiving candy at the old folks home. Unexpected surprise!

Making Christmas Cards for the elderly
This past month, a friend of ours called us with the heartbreaking that her husband had passed away. It has been a difficult time for her, as she has 2 young children. We prayed together on several occasions, but it was hard to know what to say to her. On one occasion, she said, “I am thankful to God that my husband no longer has to suffer. I know God is with us no matter where we are.” I kept thinking about that, as she has had a very difficult life, from leaving home as a young teenager to find work to support her parents; having been through abusive relationships and left to raise her children alone; until she met her husband who truly cared and provided for her and the children. She’s seen drugs and alcohol destroy her family… and the list goes on. Yet somehow in the midst of all she’s been through, she learned about a God who deeply loved her and has chosen to believe his promise in Psalm 68:5 “A father of the fatherless, a defender of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.” Please pray for this lady as she goes through the grieving process.
Lastly I want to ask for your prayers for Ana Cristina in the mountains. It can become very lonely, especially as she hasn’t really been able to get together with other believers. Please pray for strength and God’s Love to comfort her.
Thank you so much for all your prayers! If you would ever like to come and visit, we would love to have you. Please let us know! God bless! Amanda
