Hi from Mexico! I hope you are doing well. The weather is getting colder here, getting down to freezing point some nights. We are very thankful for our wooden stove and winter jackets. The school is been especially cold since we study in a cement building, but we are thankful for the building we are able to use.

We were blessed to have my sister and brother in law and their beautiful kids visit us here in Chihuahua for a few days!! The students loved their visit to the school!

In the past month, many things have happened. We were blessed to have a local church bring their youth group to build a classroom for our school. This was a wonderful opportunity for our youth to interact with people from a different culture. This classroom has been a huge blessing, because now the students can study in different areas and can concentrate better.
We also had the privilege of going to a work camp about 20 minutes away to share the gospel, sing with them, present dramas and share a meal with them. I was very proud of the students, as this was far out of their comfort zone. I was also very proud of one of our students, as she shared her testimony for the first time at the outreach event. What a joy to see these students growing spiritually, getting to know Jesus, and serving Him.

As the farmers have been harvesting the corn, we are taking advantage of the opportunity to pick up corn that was left behind after the combine finished. We are selling the corn, to save up money for a missions / fun trip in the spring.

At the beginning of the month, a lady contacted us, asking for help. She was in a difficult living situation, where she needed to get out of as soon as possible. She has 3 young children, and she had been trying to find a place to rent, but wasn’t finding anything. So she shared her story, and we sat down together and asked God to provide a place for her. The following day, we asked around, and after the fourth place, we found a temporary place for her to live! Praise God! She moved in 2 days later, and I sat down with the family and explained to them how God had answered their prayers, and now we needed to say thank you. So we all prayed together. It brought tears to my eyes to hear each one of these young children praying, thanking God for their new house. The last prayer brought tears to my eyes, as the little boy prayed, thanking God for the new house and praying for his mom that “she won’t have to cry anymore.” It is such a blessing to see this family in church now, and more than once one of the children has come and shared that they still pray to God at night. Pray for this family, that they can come to understand God’s love for them and allow Him to become the Father, Husband, and Leader of their home. I would especially ask you to pray for the mother, as she is struggling a lot, and really needs encouragement in this difficult time in her life.

I was able to go into the beautiful mountains to visit some friends and the young lady I shared about came back to live with us.

Lastly, I want to share, about 2 weeks ago, a young mother came to live with us. She was also looking for a better life and has a strong desire to learn more about Jesus and who He is. Praise God, she has found work and is settling in. Please pray for her, as she is opening up to the gospel. She has been a blessing in our home, as she brings a lot of laughter and joy.
There are so many needs as we look around us, and my heart goes out to the broken and hurting. I remember Jesus words in Matthew 9:38, “So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” Please join us in this prayer, as there are so many people all over the world, ready to hear the gospel, but they don’t know what they are looking for and need someone to share the gospel with them and walk through life with them.
Thank you so much for your prayers!! God bless. Amanda

Our former roommate got married at the end of November. Amelia and I, along with 2 of our students, had the opportunity to be bridesmaids in her wedding.
