Amanda in Mexico: June Newsletter.

Good morning! Here in Chihuahua, Mexico we woke up to the rain. What a blessing!! Last year we barely received any rain. This past week it has been raining almost daily, and we are so grateful! God is good!
I pray you are doing well. The month of June flew by. Our work season came to an end and the students are currently in summer vacation. We ended the school year by going to Basaseachi, a beautiful place in the mountains with a beautiful waterfall. The students absolutely loved it and were so excited to sleep in a cabin. I look back at the school year, how quickly it passed, now that it is over. God has done so much in each student's life and I am so excited to see what He has in store for them. Please pray for the students, that they would continue to seek God and would remember what God has done for them.

Another exciting event I would like to share about the missions trip we had the opportunity to go on. On June 15-17, a team from Sonora came here with my sister to join us on a trip to a village in the mountains. One of our friends had invited us to share the gospel in her village. Our friend had accepted Jesus as her Saviour this past September and has had a strong desire ever since to bring the gospel to her village. Once we arrived, she took us house to house to invite people to the event. The following day, just about everyone showed up to see what this event was all about. We began at 10 am, singing and praying with them. We had the opportunity to share the gospel, present 2 dramas, do a children's ministry, eat with them, and give a Bible to everyone that wanted one. It was so neat to see how God used one lady, who'd given Him her heart, to bring the gospel to a whole village! Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

On July 4, we my sister and I have the opportunity to go into another village in the mountains, called Corarayvo. We will be going for a week and be doing a Vacation Bible School for the children. Please keep us on your prayers that God would prepare the hearts of the people of Corarayvo to hear the gospel and understand it. Please pray for safety and health as it is a 7 hour drive into the mountains.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I know I couldn't be here without you! I am so thankful for God's provision and guidance  everyday! God bless. Amanda
Romans 10:20 And Isaiah boldly says, "I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me."
